Syros Beaches

Agathopes

Agathopes is one of the longest beaches of Syros. Sandy beach with lot of trees.

This beach has blue shallow water suitable for families with young children. Is also one of the most popular beaches in the younger ages.

On the beach there are facilities to play Beach Volley and rackets. Along the beach there are also 2-3 taverns.

Opposite there are two small islands ‘Strogylo‘ and ‘Shinonisi‘.

Kini

Kini beach is anexcellent sandy beach with fantastic sunsets. It actually consists of two beaches (with some trees on it), which are separated by a short road. There are a couple of tavernas, where you can have a drink. Kini is one of the best beaches on the island and It is pretty quiet.

At the beach is the statue of Gorgona Panagia (Holy Mother the Mermaid), a work by the artist Giorgos Xenoulis. The sculpture is situated in a water fountain.

Lotos

Lotos is a small beach on the west side of Syros and is 9 km from the capital of Ermoupolis. Just 500 meters to the northeast, there is the Kiniou settlement.

It is a quiet and small sandy beach with clear blue waters and protected from the winds, which is usually preferred by families. During the summer months, over the beach there is a tavern.

Delfini

From the northern part of Kini beach starts a road that takes us to the exotic beach of Delfini, a unique sandy beach with crystal clear water. The charm of the place is unique and the peace that derives from it offers moments of tranquillity to the visitor.

From Delfini starts a footpath that leads to the intact north beaches of the island (Varvarousa, Aetos, Lia, Grammata) for those who love walking tourism. The beaches are also accessible by boat which does daily journeys from Kini.

Azolimnos

Azolimnos Beach is a small but pretty beach which is situated in the southeast of the island of Syros, about 4 kilometers south of the capital of Ermoupolis. Azolimnos is an organized beach where sunbeds and umbrellas are for rent. There are tamarisk trees if you want to lie in the shade.

Connections by bus between Ermoupolis and Azalimnos Beach are good and regular. The trip from the harbour of Ermoupolis takes about 15 minutes. Azolimnos is the nearest good beach for the capital.

Vari

Vari Beach in the south of Syros is a small family sandy beach with a couple of taverna’s. Vari beach is protected from most of the winds. There is a beach volley and area for other beach sports.

Galissas

The beach of Galissas is one of the most popular and most popular beaches on the island. It is a fully organized beach offering all the comforts. Guests can swim in the crystal clear waters, relax in the golden sands, enjoy unique tastes in the taverns of the homonymous settlement and climb up to Agia Pákia, where the view is magnificent. The beach is easily accessible either by line buses or by private boat.

Finikas

Finikas beach is a small, narrow, sandy beach next to the main street of the village. The beach is not popular. However, due to the location it is easily accessible to tourists.

Along the beach there are several taverns, cafes, restaurants and shops.

Megas Yialos

The beach of Megalo Yialos, Syros, is situated in front of the homonymous tourist settlement in the southern part of the island, 12 km. From Ermoupolis and is one of the largest beaches of Syros,
It is a lovely sandy beach with sun loungers and umbrellas. offering easy access, protection from the winds. The crystal clear waters attract a large number of visitors during the summer months.
