Azolimnos is a settlement located on the southeastern side of the island of Syros, 5 km from Hermoupolis.
Azoimnos is a touristy settlement that includes a beach with salt-trees and the nearest seaside village of Ermoupolis. So, it is preferred by many – especially in the summer months – because of its short distance from the capital.
It has several rooms to let, hotels, taverns, cafes and a 5×5 private football field. Three Catholic churches have been built in the village: St. Joseph, Saint Francis and the church of Ascension, where the festival of the Holy Trinity takes place every year.
A short distance to the south is Cape Fokiotrypse, which has a small beach that gathers seals, cormorants, seagulls and blackheads.
From Azolimnos you can see Tinos and Mykonos, as well as the small uninhabited island of Aspro.
